Hinton Pictorial Section.

This Presentation was originally
created by Hazel Hart in 1981. I had called her requesting the
information she used in her book titled "The History of
Hinton" that was published in 1980. I wasn't expecting the amount
of information that I received. I have over 1000 pictures of this town,
the construction of the mill, schools, the first "Bank of Nova
Scotia" & even the first B & B (a
group of tents with a sign 'Eat and Sleep').
The stories from the past have always fascinated me. Learning the way
things 'use' to be, to what they are now. Seeing how far we have
come as a town & community shows that anything is possible. The
stories that our grandparents and parents use to tell us, really are
true.
These pages are only the beginning of my task, however I hope you enjoy
them as much as I have enjoyed bringing them together for you.
